Bandet Ball is a mix of football, basketball, and wrestling, with non-stop action. Here’s how we keep the game intense and fun:
Score by shooting the ball into the pop-a-shot hoop. Each basket = 1 point.
You can play 1v1, 2v2, depending on how many players you have.
Full contact is allowed, but remember to keep it safe:
Tackles and hits are allowed chest and below
No hits to the neck or head
Hits are allowed on the ground
No choking or dangerous moves
🛏 4. Safe Zone
Play on mattresses or soft surfaces to avoid injuries during tackles and falls.
🔄 5. Ball Standoff
If the ball goes out of bounds or a shot is missed and grabbed by the other player, it’s a standoff:
Both players sit on the ground
The player who did not roll the ball out of bounds gets possession of the ball and resumes the game.
🔁 6. Mix Off
If players stay on the mats or are tackled and locked on the mats for 20 seconds, it’s time for a mix off:
Mix offs are used for the beginning of the game
Players lock arms and legs together (no cheating!)
The ball is placed in the middle of the mats
Everyone gets ready and counts down: 3, 2, 1, mix off!
On "mix off," everyone rushes to the ball and fights for possession.
⏱ 7. Game Time
Each game is split into two 7-minute halves.
The clock stops for timeouts and certain game situations (like injuries).
After the first half, take a short break before starting the second half.
⏲️ 8. Overtime
If the score is tied at the end of regular time (after both halves), the game goes into overtime:
5 extra minutes are added to the game.
If no one scores during overtime, we go to a shootout.
🥅 9. Shootout
If the game is still tied after overtime, it’s time for the shootout:
Players take turns shooting at the pop-a-shot hoop.
The shootout is first to 5 points.
If there’s a tie after the first shootout, you just go again until someone wins.
The goal is to have fun! Keep it friendly, respect each other, and play with good sportsmanship. No cheap shots or trash talk.
